BLACK
Blackness covers my heart like the night
a blanket of rage that hides what is right.
It searches for release, this turmoil within,
the frustration of not letting the wrath begin.
I fear the results of what would take place,
should I choose not to continue the race.
My sanity struggles, it hangs on a limb,
sometimes I just wish the black would win.
To let myself go, just let the anger come out,
become free of it all, just kick, scream and
shout.
Be it stranger or friend of this I’ve no doubt,
the destruction of anger, I don’t want this route.
I maintain control of what’s right and what’s wrong.
Hoping that one day peace will come.
